The 12th April was tree planting day on the meadow by Ladywalk nature reserve.
The amazing volunteers from West Midlands Bird Club planted approximately 1,200 trees, including species such as birch, elder and hawthorn.
Planting all these trees will enable us to create connecting habitats for the willow tit population to move further afield, for nesting and foraging, expanding their territories across and beyond the project area.
Thank you to all the volunteers for their help, especially to the younger ones who did a great job of keeping the trees watered!
